First Communion and Reconciliation

“I am the living bread that came down from heaven; whoever eats this bread will live forever; and the bread that I will give is my flesh for the life of the world.” – John 6:51

The Sacraments of Reconciliation and Communion are among the greatest gifts that God has given to us.  In them our sins are forgiven and we receive his fullness in the Eucharist.

Any child who is going into second grade may receive both first Reconciliation and Communion.  If you are enrolled in the parish school, St. Thomas Aquinas Academy, the preparation for both sacraments will be coordinated through the school.

If your child is enrolled in a non-parochial school, the sacramental preparation is coordinated through South East Catholic Youth and Young adult.  Please follow these links:

If you are an adult who has never been baptized, was baptized in another denomination or was baptized Catholic but not yet received first Communion and confirmation, please click here for more information on the Rite of Christmas Initiation for Adults (RCIA).
